Katrina Spencer decides to escape to her father’s private island five days before her wedding. She does not know if she can marry a man that she only admires and not really loves. Sure, he is wealthy and all, but he lacks the passion she desires. If only she could be with the one that got away, the one that really made her body tingle from head to toe. Then, out of the blue, there stands Brock Denton.
Brock Denton is one hundred percent pure male. When his cover is blown, the FBI agent had no idea he would run into the woman whose heart he broke ten years ago. Now to find a way to make amends with Kat, whom he referred to as ‘kitten.’
Kat is surprised when she sees Brock on the island. She wonders why of all the islands, he happens to land on hers. There is something strange going on and she gets the impression it spells danger. Of course, she too, is in danger when she is in close proximity to him. Just one touch of his hand, or one kiss from his lips, and she will be lost in his arms forever. In five days she will wed a man that does not satisfy her needs, yet in the time she spends with Brock, his alluring ways could sweep her into a passion she will not be able to give up. Brock needed a place to hide and the island was his safest bet, until he saw Kat. Years had passed before them and still she was as breathtaking as the last time he saw her. He feels an attraction toward her he thought had long died. He turned down her favors years ago; he is not so sure he can do it this time. She wonders should she be upset, turn and run. She does have a fiancé after all. But the dangerous attraction between them is not only challenging, but intensely irresistible. The two must decide the right choice in life before it is too late to turn back.
Swept Away is one dynamite sizzling read that will definitely sweep the reader into paradise. Brock is loaded with sex appeal, and Kat is lively. The dialogue they share is fun, stimulating, and fully charged, making them one hot item. They really make the story believable. Ms. Blake pens a fantastic plot. A woman about to marry in five days and the handsome man from her past comes into the picture. Oh yeah, this story rocks with excitement from the beginning. The sexual undertone simmers in every page and the embers only get hotter as the story progresses. Ms. Blake creates an island, real characters, and some passion along the way that makes one incredible read. With well-rounded secondary characters, this is one keeper that one should not let get away!
