Medical Romance

Ripley (Rip) Taylor, MD is trying to stop smoking. After a bitter divorce he is not certain if he wants another relationship. Yet Jo, the doctor that works with him in pathology, stirs an interest that is sometimes hard fighting. As his attentions grow for Jo, ex-wife Tara returns hoping to cause trouble.

Doctor Josephine (Jo) Middleton is alone except for her cat and sometimes making dinners for one is no fun. She finds her life in a rut when Dr. Rip decides to step in and change her perspective for the better. After he strikes a cord in her heart, things take a serious note until the ex appears on his doorstep.

Rip and Jo are in the midst of changing pathology labs while coming to terms of matters in their own life. Rip is fighting the smoking habit and Jo wants to revitalize her life. Both are dedicated to their work and their patients. As things heat up between them, ex-wife Tara returns with a secret she hopes will bring Rip back to her. What Tara failed to realize was the strong love that Rip and Jo already feel for each other will not be denied.

The Life Saver is an incredible read with such in-depth characters and emotions that grabs the reader. The chemistry and banter between Jo and Rip ignite the pages. The way Ms. Darcy paints the picture of his home, down to his date with Jo and even the filet mignon was so wonderfully vivid. The plot with the return of the ex wife and the whole storyline flowed smoothly. Ms. Darcy instills an exceptional read that leaves a great feeling inside. I find her works remarkable. They never disappoint and that is why I give it a 5 rating.
