Jennifer Matthews is left alone after her father commits suicide. When her Uncle Julian takes control, Jennifer knows he is up to no good.

Brett Parker, Deputy Sheriff and prominent rancher in Alder Creek, Wyoming agrees to accept a mail-order bride. He never expected what he found in Jenna.

Jennifer is shocked at the death of her father. There has to be more to the story then not accepting the death of her mother. She is not thrilled that she has been left custody to her Uncle Julian. He is a vile man with inappropriate intentions. Fleeing to escape his lewd conduct, she boards a wagon train for mail-order brides headed out west. Meeting a lawman as her new husband-to-be may have landed her into more hot water. Listening to his friend, Brett decides to accept a mail-order bride. He is smitten with Jenna, and promises to court her and never pressure her about anything after marriage. Jenna would rather not be married. She cannot confess to him about her past. When things begin to blossom between them, Jenna is not sure she can stay with Brett but how do you break a heart who has been good to you?

The Indentured Bride is a remarkable tale with all the ingredients that keep the reader enthralled. Jenna and Brett are special characters that just bring warmth and sunshine into the heart. The reader cannot help but feel for them with all the events that play into their lives. The wagon train and the move out west was one that this reader could feel on the journey. Regan Taylor pens an extraordinary tale that is refreshing and intense. She creates a devilish villain in Julian that further mesmerizes the reader. I was so captivated with this adventure I wanted more.
