Claire Miller feels the dating links will never work and she will always be a lonely woman never meeting anyone.

Eric attends the ball hoping to meet a woman. Looking for someone lonely, he stumbles upon Claire.

A mysterious invitation catches Claire’s full attention. Mademoiselle Claire Miller – the pleasure of your company is requested at the Halloween Masque from Midnight to Dawn. No one will break the rules. A limo will arrive and you will be presented a mask. The masque and the partygoers are strictly enforced. When the limo appears, Claire is given a deep blue silk mask and instructed not to remove until heading home. She sees many when she arrives at the ball but one that really catches her eye. He is mysterious, handsome and almost like Adonis, and feels that fate has brought him there. After Claire begins sharing conversation with him, strange things happen behind many of the tapestries. Claire learns that her mystery man is Eric, someone she knows. As odd behavior continues to mount, Claire finds herself face to face with a powerful desire with Eric, and the heat suddenly blazes in a way where there may be no escape.

The Masque of the Lonely is a read that captivated this reader from the beginning. The writing seems to draw one into the story and Claire’s sensations are truly moving. When she arrives at the ball, everything about her just weaves through the pages after she meets Eric. Not being able to remove the mask was a sensational plot in this moving story. Ms Beckham creates a memorable character with Eric, as well. He was full of charisma and my heart leaped when he interlocked with Claire. This is one story with an ending that screams loudly through the pages.
