Elissa McLaughlin never imagined a simple trip to visit her Aunt would send her stumbling back into time and mistaken for a princess.

General Amunnakht is considered the Pharaoh’s best General. Smitten with Elissa, he finds she bears a strong resemblance to Pharaoh’s daughter.

The blond hair blue-eyed beauty causes quite a stir as she ascends into ancient Egypt during the days of Queen Hatshepsut. She never wanted to tour a boring city to begin with and now to be mistaken for Princess Neferure. Elissa is heating up quite a sensation, especially for General Amunnakht and now she must help save the kingdom from usurpers, Senenmut and Thutmosis. General Amunnakht is certain Elissa is a woman of pleasure but the closer he draws to her she reminds him of Pharaoh’s endangered daughter. What he discovers is a woman with a strong mind of her own, and a feisty temper. It is a time of political upheaval as Queen Hatshepsut, Senenmut and Thutmosis III struggle for power within the kingdom that draws Elissa and Amunnakht into a spin of love straight in the center of things, as Elissa is torn with returning home or staying with the man she has grown to love.

Sands of Time: Lost in Egypt is pure exhilarating entertainment. The character of Elissa is strong and powerful yet she shows certain vulnerability and a little fear until she meets Amunnakht. His strength and bravery in the story is quite commendable. Together he and Elissa have a passion that is rare. I liked the way Ms. May incorporates the amount of trust into the storyline as they are surrounded by plenty of enemies. With a story filled with intrigue and suspense this paranormal is delightfully superb and the way she blends in Hatshepsut is fabulous.
