Iris Instasi-Fox Tabernacle Friday is searching for the only people who can help her: witches. Due to forces in the werewolf world, she and Alfie have been separated and the fate of the world depends on him. She also misses him in her life.

Alfie Friday has been a man for twenty-one years, a werewolf for eleven. Releasing the power of the Divine Wolf will also involve harming Iris. He still has deep feelings for her so must strategize wisely. One false move could destroy all werewolves.

Iris knows it is imperative that Alfie be found. Blake Tabernacle, werewolf hunter and Director of the Institute of Paraphysiology, is a doctor and werewolf. As a doctor he planted a chip in Iris and Alfie to keep close tabs on their whereabouts. Alfie knows the life of a werewolf can be brutish and short. After Iris spotted him with his ex-girlfriend, she walked out of his life, but the memories of Iris are still fresh. Alfie no longer has the Silver Collar anymore and without the collar to wear, he is dangerous. Blake soon finds himself a prisoner of Erin Cobalt. There is concern over a seven-million-pound loan that the late Dr. Tobias used to fund his program. Since Blake cannot repay the loan, he is being tightly scrutinized. As Iris and Alfie try to find their way back to each other, Erin and her husband become dangerous adversaries, but neither anticipated the power of Iris and Alfie.

Hold on tight, because this highly erotic read is steaming. I read "The Silver Crown" and was spellbound and with "The Silver Cage", Book 3, the intrigue is double pleasure. I can still share in the feelings that strike Iris and her relationship with Alfie. Love, trust, devotion, even frustration, and passion, soar in this magnificent read. Mathilde Madden once again creates a triangle of lovers between her main characters that explodes. I love how she molds Iris as a robust female who will do anything to help Alfie, no matter what may have crossed their paths in the past. I thought the plot was sheer genius. It has some ups and downs that keep the reader in awe, but all together Ms. Madden pens an excellent read.
