A happy marriage just does not happen, it usually takes lots of work, but even ten minutes a day can allow any marriage to be one filled with bliss and excitement each and everyday. Face it, looks can be deceiving and more so in a marital relationship. A couple can look happy on the outside, then once they are behind four walls, things swiftly change. The couples mentioned in this book, each have something that stands out. Some either have their spouse put in too many hours, only to feel neglected at home, while others just do not take time to listen to each others conversations.

It seems that with daily living, the married couple faces many struggles. Some have secrets that need to be worked out, while others take the time each day to spend time making their work. One must realize that marriage is not a fantasy. It is a reality and must be groomed each day. Dr. Weiss has created some simple steps to improve the marriage in only ten minutes a day. By jumpstarting and refreshing one’s life, he gives some great steps to keep from growing apart and even gives a feelings exercise chart.

Inside the pages are exercises to strengthen any relationship. By prayer, and turning to Christ, one learns much patience. Sometimes conflict is not easy and it is not bad. Remember to think outside the box. Be sure to choose one problem and not jump from subject to subject. Sticking with a budget is always helpful too. By taking into account the other person’s feelings, with the addition of the ten minute exercises to make a marriage happier, one will truly success in bringing bliss into their marriage.

The Ten-Minute Marriage Principle is a relaxing step by step way to bring joy into one’s life. I thought Dr. Weiss had some valid points and great exercise steps that were not hard at all. He is well-educated with over nineteen years of clinical experience which tells me he knows what he is talking about. He has over twenty years of marriage experience and by putting his trust in God, he has taken steps to show couples the rich process of enhancing their marriage. I enjoyed the way he teaches couples how to face their conflicts. It is a training that lends to better creativity in all areas for couples.
