Paranormal Romantic Mystery
Rating: 5 Cups

Selene MacPherson, a divorced mother of two daughters, and the town ‘witch’, by some, gets a strong sense of premonition after viewing a tarot card.

Chief Adrian Burke is Fort Bedford’s new police chief. He had no idea after leaving Chicago he would be inundated with serious crimes.

Selene is a restaurateur trying to find some kind of peace in her life. When anyone mentions fortunes, it practically makes her hair stand on end. After heading to the Old Bedford Days Fair, strange things happen when a tarot card continues to send a looming threat of fear over her head. Adrian never imagined taking the role of police chief in a small town would be so challenging. He cannot get over how incompetent some of the town people are after several brutal murders and mutilation. Never a believer in those who practice the tarot cards, thinking they are nuts, Selene catches his eye after he is sent to investigate a murder leaving her sister, Izzy, a suspect. Selene thought everything was behind her with the witch bit, until Adrian arrives and a series of murders ensue. Now Selene must work her magic to help Izzy, but the more she aids Adrian, the more her heart fears for him, especially when he has become an important part of her life.

Three of Swords is a captivating page-turner. The allure of danger mixed with darkness is highly intriguing. Ms. Moore skillfully crafts a story with in-depth characters that soar. Adrian is one sizzling male and when he and Selene unite with their banter, things really get hot. Even the villain keeps the reader interested. Intense, edge of the seat entertainment that almost pulls the reader into the pages, this engaging read is exceptional and deserves a 5-cup rating! Absolutely chilling!
