Lady Aislinn of Bairbhe wanted nothing more than to be a knight. So, at the age of seven, she went before her king and begged him to let her train as a knight. The king agreed and so started her long journey to seeing her dreams come true.

Prince Caelan trained with and was friends with Aislinn. He helped her when he could, and ended up being one of her closest friends.

As Aislinn grew, she became more and more determined to reach her goal. With the help of her friends, she knew she would make it. But Aislinn also had a knack for finding trouble, as she proved several times over in her quest for knighthood. But would being a knight finally make her happy or was there more out there for her?

This is a very wonderful story about a girl's dream and her chance to achieve it. The story does start out a little slow, and I had a bit of a hard time believing a seven year old would be that mature. The characters do grow into their maturity and in the end I really did like the way this story was headed. It also left a very nice cliff hanger that has me wanting to see how it ends.
