The Super G was once as easy as walking for Lindsey Collins. Now just the thought of standing at the top of a mountain fills her with terror. Although the physical injuries from the fall that ended her career have healed, the mental ones are still raw and aching.

A bad-boy image serves Carter Shaw very well. Not only on the snow, but in his personal life. As a world-class snow-boarder Carter is used to taking risks and coming out on top. Now if he can figure out how to use that determination and grit to capture the right girl’s attention, he will be all set.

Living the last year in limbo, Lindsey is determined to shake things up, starting with Carter Shaw. With the fear of skiing again so strong, Lindsey needs something else to focus on, and Carter provides the prefect distraction. As hard as it is for him to believe it himself, Carter wants more than to be just Lindsey’s bit of New Year’s fun. Unfortunately, his reputation is hard for either of them to ignore. No one affects Lindsey like Carter, pushing her past boundaries she never thought she could cross. Yet when it comes to the heart, she is not at all sure she is willing to take the risk.

Lindsey and Carter live in a world that is completely consumed by one goal, so it should come as no surprise things are going to get bumpy when trying something new, like having a relationship. What is frustrating, is how Lindsey drags Carter through her mine field of doubt and need. Not many men would put up with her running hot and cold, yet amazingly Carter continues to have her back. It is the times when Lindsey does let go that really makes this story come to life for the reader.
