A perfect day for Billie Bridgerton is spent on the back of her horse while working her family’s estate. Elegant gowns and social graces are near torture for a young woman who grew up getting skinned knees and freckles.

The wealth, prestige, and responsibility of being heir to an earldom sits firmly on George Rokesby’s shoulders. He never ran wild with his siblings and their friends; even if there were times he wished he could be so carefree.

If there is one person in the world who can drive George to drink, it is Billie Bridgerton. Conventional and demure are not part of her personality lately; however, he is finding that to be more alluring than annoying. Billie always considered George to be stuffy and arrogant, until she spends a day getting a peek at the man beyond the title. They could not be two more completely different people, but there is a growing attraction they may be the last to notice.

Being connected to the land and the people who keep her family’s estate running is Billie’s passion, which I find so refreshing. I love that she speaks her mind, while still having the love and support of her family and friends. On the surface she and George may look like opposites, but underneath, they are fundamentally in sync. Once their passions ignite, there is no end to what these two will accomplish.
