Morgan is a half-fey warrior and trained in magic. Not an elegant miss despite her beauty, she is comfortable in her profession. She has fallen in love only once and was terribly hurt and betrayed.

Cam is a Colonel in His Majesty's Army and a former assassin. His marriage almost cost him his life and did cost him his reputation. A beautiful redhead made him forget for a while.

A traitor to the Amhas draoi has stolen a sword of great power and is determined to create an army of the Undying. The Fey and the Army have decided that Morgan and her former lover, Cam, are the only two who can stop him before the angry Fey take things into their own hands. After his betrayal, Morgan does not trust Cam but the fate of all they know and love depends on their task.

This is an interesting tale set in Regency England and Scotland. The two main characters are misfits of sorts in Society, but Morgan is more sympathetic in my mind. Cam's failure to tell her of his marriage is wrong on many levels. I found the nods to the old television series “Bewitched” and “I Dream of Jeannie” amusing and the characters' use of modern slang a bit unusual. The plot is full of action and excitement and the love story between Cam and Morgan full of more than the usual ups and downs. This is one exciting read that will never leave you bored.
