Corporate CEO, Rick Nordan, is on doctor’s orders: complete rest and relaxation for a week. To get away from it all, Rick rents a home in the small seaside town of Lobster Cove. When he meets the owners of the house, Pilar Cruz and her three daughters, they envelop him into the folds of their family without a second thought. It is just where Rick wants to be, especially since he finds himself falling for the eldest of Pilar’s daughters, feisty, beautiful Maya, almost instantly.

Maya, however, is hesitant to let herself be swept off her feet. Lobster Cove is a hotbed for Boston’s corporate elite, and it will not be the first time she has been wined and dined, then left behind. When Rick begins to show a genuine interest in her, and offers to help with her mobile restaurant and catering business, Maya begins to wonder how long she can keep him at arm’s length.

The attraction sizzles between Maya and Rick right from the start. Unfortunately their time together is much too short. Rick will have to find a way to make Maya realize she cannot keep putting her family’s needs ahead of her own ambitions. They can take care of themselves. And he will take care of Maya for much longer than a week … if only she will let him.

Love Caters All is entertaining, and the author’s descriptive style is captivating. But for me, it fell short of a four cup rating for two reasons. First, I am not a fan of the immediate and intense lust trope, which the book presented within the first chapter. It prevented me from really getting to like Maya and Rick for who they were, instead of how sexy they were. Second, I did not always accept Maya’s and Rick’s reasons for becoming angry with one another (which were a recurring source of conflict). Consequently, I found I disliked them at times. Beyond this, though, it is a cute story. I would recommend it to readers who want a light, fun read.
