Susanna is tired of pretending to be okay with catching her sister and boyfriend in bed together. At the announcement of their marriage, she decides a change is needed. She resolves to get away from it all and moves to a small town in Georgia.

Noah had heard about the woman staying in his cabin, but he had never seen her. He has no desire to ever go anywhere near the cabin after Loren rejected him. He lets his mother handle all interactions with his new tenant.

Susanna and Noah have both given up on love, but cannot fight the strong sexual attraction they instantly feel for each other when they meet. They agree to give in to their mutual desire to be together with no promises for more. As time passes, they both realize that their hearts have begun to heal, and sometimes “no promises” is not enough.

When I first started reading Susanna’s Heart, I disliked the way Susanna’s personality was so extreme. Then I remembered what it is like to try and find yourself again after a broken heart. One minute she is crying and the next she is making life-changing decisions and taking what she wants. I love a tall, dark and handsome hero, and Noah’s description is perfect. He comes complete with charm and the ability to open his heart again. This book is a fast, fun read with a great ending.
