CIA agent, Dr. Nita Parris, is in a Washington hotel to secure her contact; a whistle-blower within a large corporate whose cover is blown. The contact, Timothy Weyland, was giving them Intel of terrorist Faouzi al-Umari's activities and clients. Nita and Timothy almost get killed in the process, but are eventually successful in getting away. This is just the beginning.

Agent Ridley Fox is in France having taken over the identity of a mercenary to get close to a man who can lead them to al-Umari, America’s most wanted terrorist. Fox's first assignment is to drop off a hard drive within hours, not giving anyone enough time to hack into it for contents. The drop-off is made, but before the drives can be switched, a third party comes in, killing the buyer and taking the drive away.

Soon Ridley and Nita on a goose chase around the world, only to learn there is something much bigger at play instead of just catching the most wanted terrorist. A horrific attack is underway on American soil which, if successful, can single-handed cause a devastating number of casualties. Can they stop the threat in time?

The story starts off with action, which sets the tone for the book. There is suspense, action, an adventure and a twist at every turn. Just when I thought I had figured the whole thing out, boom, the plot takes another turn. This book kept me thoroughly involved until the very end. The only point I had issues with it are some of the discussions between characters sounding more like lectures and some extra point of views which got a little confusing sometimes. This story required my full attention to keep track of where what is going on and why, therefore this is not a light read. It is an intense, thrilling story which will keep you guessing till the very end. A compelling whodunit when the whole thing comes together in a well thought-out well-researched (terrifying) plot, if it was true. I even loved the fact the author gave a reference list at the end which he used for his research. I did read some of it and the whole concept blew me away. A must read.
