Vega Brookes, bounty hunter, thrives on tangling with dangerous men. She enjoys being the winner and getting her man. When an ex-professional killer for the Army’s ISA skips, she heads after him.
Grayson Walker is considered dangerous. When someone sets their sights on causing destruction to those dear to him, he wants answers. It makes no difference that a blond beauty is hot on his trail.
Vega had no idea when she tracked Grayson that the task would turn difficult. After a brief tackle outside the club where she finds him, their attack finds him taking a shot at her. Of course, she realizes her job can often have her dodging bullets but she had not planned to be at a doctor’s office during the holidays. The information on Grayson is correct. He is ruthless not to mention a killer. But for some reason, her heart tells her differently. Grayson refuses to allow some bounty hunter, especially a woman to haul him in. He has never shot a woman. He is on a mission to reveal the real assailant but soon finds they are in a heated survival game when they find themselves being chased. Now they must trust each other as he learns his love for Vega is intensely growing. With danger approaching on all sides, time is quickly running out.
The Huntress is a spellbinding read. I have to admit I am a sucker for the romantic suspense stories and this one is exceptional. Vega is feisty and powerful, Grayson pure male and committed to finding the truth. The two heat the pages like a slow burning candle. Intense, sharp, action-packed and even emotional, Ms. McFalls has composed a well-written story with a gripping plot and motivating characters. The supporting cast enhances the development of this astonishing read.
