Years of enduring beatings and so much worse make Gael Astley feel worthless and dirty. Until Rick found him, it was hard to even imagine being loved and cared for.

Coming out to his parents created a hole in Jason Phillip’s life that only one person will ever fill. His lion knows instantly who that man is, making Jason clamp down on his baser instincts so he does not scare his mate.

Working with an empath like Rick has helped Gael tremendously; especially with his self-image and telepathic abilities, but it is time to move on. As a member of the Fillmore Agency he is supposed to learn to harness his abilities. What happens instead is beyond his wildest dreams. He wants to be everything Jason sees in him, yet there is still so much in his life that is unsettled. Jason will literally fight tooth and nail to keep Gael from feeling any more pain, which is what makes it incredibly hard to back off and let Gael find his own way.

These boys are a serious handful and will definitely keep you interested. What I find is that there is almost too much going on, especially with their friends, family, and multitude of psychic talents. It gets hard to keep track of who can do what, and exactly how it all ties in to the Fillmore Agency. I would like to see more of a focus on one couple, and their actual role within the agency.
